Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services Provided
Allstar Backflow provides backflow prevention testing, repair, and installation services throughout Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino counties. All work is performed by certified technicians in accordance with applicable state and local regulations, including but not limited to:
- California Health and Safety Code
- USC Foundation for Cross-Connection Control and Hydraulic Research (USC FCCCHR) standards
- American Water Works Association (AWWA) guidelines
- Local water district requirements
3. Appointments and Scheduling
Service appointments are scheduled based on technician availability and service area. We make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled time window. Delays may occur due to weather, emergencies, traffic, or prior service complications. We will notify you as soon as possible if rescheduling is necessary.
4. Service Areas
Our primary service areas include Riverside County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County. Service availability outside these areas is subject to approval and may incur additional travel fees.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). A service fee of $35 will be charged for returned checks.
6. Estimates and Pricing
Estimates provided are based on visual inspection and information provided by the client. Final pricing may vary if additional issues, code violations, or equipment failures are discovered during testing or repair. You will be notified of any pricing changes before additional work proceeds. Estimates are valid for 30 days.
7. Warranty
We warrant our labor and workmanship for 30 days from the date of service completion. Parts and equipment installed carry the manufacturer's warranty, typically ranging from 90 days to 1 year. This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Normal wear and tear
- Acts of God (floods, earthquakes, etc.)
- Modifications made by others
- Failure to maintain equipment as recommended
8. Liability and Insurance
Allstar Backflow maintains general liability insurance and workers' compensation insurance as required by law. Our liability is limited to the cost of services provided. We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing conditions or equipment failures not caused by our work
- Consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
- Property damage resulting from factors beyond our reasonable control
- Water service interruptions required to perform testing or repairs
9. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate property information and service history
- Ensuring access to backflow prevention assemblies
- Notifying us of any known hazards or site conditions
- Ensuring timely annual testing to maintain regulatory compliance
- Obtaining necessary permits when required (we can assist)
- Shutting off irrigation systems prior to testing (when applicable)
10. Compliance and Reporting
Test results and reports are submitted electronically to the appropriate water authority as required by law. Clients are ultimately responsible for ensuring timely testing and compliance with local regulations. We provide digital copies of all test reports for your records.
11. Failed Tests and Repairs
If a backflow prevention assembly fails testing, you will be notified immediately. Most water authorities require repairs and retesting within a specified timeframe (typically 30 days). Failure to complete repairs may result in water service disconnection by your water provider.
12. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Emergency cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
13. Permits and Code Compliance
Installation of new backflow prevention assemblies may require permits from local building departments and water districts. We will assist with permit applications when necessary. Final installation must pass inspection by the relevant authority having jurisdiction.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in Riverside County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Riverside County, California.
16. Limitation of Actions
Any claim related to our services must be brought within one (1) year from the date of service completion.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
18. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
